I am Michelle Dumas. In June 2001 I was a Marketing/Research Analyst by trade and a bride-to-be by fate. Naturally, I did what every other bride does and decided to hit all of the bridal boutiques to find the perfect dress. I was excited and determined to plan the wedding of my dreams, however, with each visit to a bridal boutique I became more disappointed. I thought that everyone was going to be as happy and excited about my wedding as I was. Each bridal store I visited claimed to offer the highest level of customer satisfaction and promised to be with me every step of the way. However, I rarely received the level of attention that was promised. The moment that I bought my dress, I was treated like they no longer needed my business and had too many more important matters to deal with. I decided that I would never buy anything from that bridal store again.

My luck turned around when a dear friend gave me the name of Debra Goldwater who sold wedding attire at discounted prices. At first I was hesitant to call but it was the best thing that I could have done. It turns out that Debra was the Area Director for Discount Bridal Service. The moment that I met Debra I felt comfortable working with her and I left her house happy and very excited about planning my wedding. Debra was always patient and willing to go that extra mile for me. I ended up buying my bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, wedding invitations, tuxedos, veil, tiara and the list goes on and on, all from Debra. I liked the fact that I could go to one person who could help me with all my wedding needs. Debra helped me so much that I made sure that a bouquet of beautiful flowers was delivered to her house the moment I walked down the aisle.

After my wedding I was very much inspired by Debra to start my own wedding business. So in September of 2001, I started Michelle's Wedding Essentials. I strive to give all of my brides the personal service that they deserve. Planning a wedding can become extremely stressful... my commitment to you is to take the stress away and save you money at the same time. My business has grown tremendously since September 2001 and I owe it all to referrals from happy brides. I hope that you find my website useful and valuable for planning the wedding of your dreams.
